WavezOS — Privacy

Published 10 September 2026

WavezOS (“we”, “us”) is a Shopify app that helps merchants measure and improve how AI assistants mention their store. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how long we keep it when you install or use WavezOS on a Shopify store.

Who this covers

This policy applies to merchants and store staff who install WavezOS. It is not a consumer-facing checkout policy. WavezOS is built for store data (catalog, content, brand names), not for your customers’ personal accounts.

Information we collect

When you install WavezOS, Shopify lets us access store information needed to run the app, using the scopes you approve. In practice we store:

We do not need, and do not use, your customers’ personal data (names, emails, orders, or checkout details) to operate WavezOS. If Shopify sends a mandatory customer data-request or redact webhook, we process it as required even when we hold no matching customer records.

For more on what Shopify apps can access, see Shopify’s app permissions help.

How we use it

We use this information only to provide WavezOS, including to:

We do not sell your information. We do not use your store catalog to train a public model for other merchants.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the app:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent merchant data to advertisers or data brokers.

Security and retention

Access tokens and store data are stored on our servers and used only for WavezOS. We use standard safeguards (HTTPS, scoped Shopify tokens, restricted access). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep store data while WavezOS is installed and you are using the service. After you uninstall, Shopify sends a shop/redact request. We delete the shop’s WavezOS data within the time Shopify requires (typically 48 hours of that request), except where we must retain a limited record to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms.

Customer redact / data-request webhooks are honored as Shopify requires. Because WavezOS does not store customer profiles, those requests usually result in a confirmation that no customer personal data is held.

Your rights

Depending on where you are (including the EU/UK under GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Merchants can uninstall WavezOS at any time from Shopify admin, which stops new access and leads to deletion as described above.

Children

WavezOS is for Shopify merchants running a business. It is not directed at children. Do not use the app unless you are at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

Changes

We may update this policy when the product, law, or our practices change. The date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted at this URL. Continue using WavezOS after an update means you accept the revised policy.
